2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Soft Top: On the way!

The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata is on it’s way to United States! In fact, by the time you read this, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata may already be here at Beach Mazda! more Best Thrills-Per-Dollar After the success of the 2016 model, and after winning World Car of of the Year and World Car Design of the Year Award, the MX-5 Miata still provides the best thrills-per-dollar ratio of any car out there today. For 2017, the only packaging changes include adding Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear-cross Traffic Alert as standard equipment for MX-5 Miata Club models. These features used to be exclusive to the Grand Touring model. Trim Levels There are three time levels: Sport, Grand Touring and Club. Rather than a “good-better-best” strategy, Mazda has developed three distinct “flavors” of MX-5 Miata to cater to different customers. The fourth generation MX-5 Miata returns for its second model year weighing about 150lbs less than its predecessor. Mazda achieved this feat through their greater use of ultra-high-tensile steel as well as aluminum construction.A testament to Mazda’s “Gram Strategy” and the innovation of SKYACTIV™ Technology, it is approximately 25-percent more efficient than its predecessor in EPA testing. Yet, it’s also quicker and more refined with technologies customers expect in today’s cars. SKYACTIV™-G All North American 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata models come equipped with a quick-revving, 2.0-liter SKYACTIV™-G engine that produces 155 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. It sends power to the rear wheels via a standard six-speed SKYACTIV™-MT six-speed manual—currently accounting for 60 percent of MX-5 sales—or an available six-speed automatic that comes standard with paddle shifters. The approximately 2,300-lbs. roadster embodies Mazda’s “Jinba Ittai” philosophy—translated as horse and rider as one. And, it sets the pace for all of Mazda’s current- and next-generation cars and crossovers. For 2017, it is joined by the MX-5 RF—retractable fastback—which went on sale in November. It imbues MX-5 with coupe-like style and sophistication. Want to take a test drive? Give Beach Mazda a call today. We’ll show you how to get behind the wheel and get one for yourself!

2017 Mazda 6

2017 Mazda 6 - Best of Beauty & Performance

The design of the 2017 Mazda 6 presented a significant problem. When a car is designed to be beautiful, performance is often diminished. Mazda engineers saw this as a challenge to turn an esthetically stunning design into something truly functional. With aerodynamics better than a Lamborghini Aventador and a body design that contributes to both high-speed stability and fuel efficiency, the 2017 Mazda 6 is a living, driving embodiment of perseverance. more Elevated Design Even a vehicle sophisticated as the 2017 Mazda 6, Mazda found unique ways to elevate the design. New for 2017, they added the available Grand Touring Premium Package. Inside, subtle details like ambient overhead console lighting and Nappa leather interior trim add a luxurious touch. Drivers can enjoy a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. The premium Package also offers a choice between Black or Parchment Nappa leather-trimmed seats that include heated front and rear seats. Active grille shutters improve fuel efficiency by reducing aerodynamic drag. The i-ELOOP regenerative engine braking system improves efficiency in stop-and-go city driving. Total Enhancement Since creating a better driving experience is Mazda’s first priority, they would never design a vehicle that sacrifice performance for fuel efficiency. Instead, they were able to enhance both. The groundbreaking SKYACTIV™ TECHNOLOGY is a holistic system of innovations that takes the entire car into consideration to improve the overall driving performance. Power and performance delivered in abundance! Let Beach Mazda help you You know what? The best way to learn about the new 2017 Mazda 6 it to come see and feel one for yourself. CX-3

CX-3 Begins Production at Hofu Plant

It has begun! Production of the Mazda CX-3 had started at the Mazda’s Hofu Plant Number 1. more Location It’s located in Yamaguchi Japan. The Hofu Plant is now Mazda’s third production facility to manufacture the CX-3. The CX-3 is also built at the Ujina Plant Number 1 in Hiroshima as well as at AutoAlliance Company Ltd. in Thailand. This will strengthen the automaker’s supply system for its SUVs as demand increase across the world. The production of the CX-3 was, until now, limited to the Ujina Plant Number One. That plant also produces the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-9. Moving some of the production of the CX-3 to Hofu will enhance the company’s ability to supply these vehicles. Mazda will also be able to respond quickly to the growing demand. Bringing CX-3 production online at Hofu went smoothly thanks to Mazda’s Bundled Product Planning1 and Common Architecture Concept,2 key components of the company’s Monotsukuri Innovation initiatives in product planning and production. Mazda's Aim Mazda is aiming to create a flexible production system capable of producing up to 50 percent crossover vehicles as the company works to meet its global sales goal of 1.65 million units, as laid out in its Structural Reform Stage 2 medium-term business plan (covering the period from fiscal year ending (FYE) March 2017 through FYE March 2019). “We’re aiming for a production system that gives us more flexibility in terms of plants and models, so we can get our cars to customers around the world as quickly as possible,” said Masatoshi Maruyama, Managing Executive Officer in charge of global production. “Achieving this will help create a stronger foundation for our business.” Mazda will continue its efforts to enrich people’s lives. They will do this through a variety of touchpoints, including high-quality vehicle production. Mazda will become a brand with which customers feel a strong emotional connection. SKYACTIV™ TECHNOLOGY

SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T Wins 10-Best Award

Mazda recently announced that its turbocharged SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T engine has received a 2017 Wards 10 Best Engines award. This engine made its debut in the second-generation Mazda CX-9 midsize crossover SUV. more Everyone knows that Mazda is at the forefront of  automotive technology. Developers are constantly trying to improve their vehicles. Mazda is always trying to advance safety technology and improve fuel efficiency. Generally speaking, they know how to make great vehicles that people absolutely love to drive! This has been proven by the many awards that Mazda vehicles have won over the years. Accordingly, the SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T engine winning this honor is no less impressive. Honored “We’re honored that WardsAuto has recognized our turbocharged SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T, as it serves as validation of our innovation that everything we do is focused on creating value and strong trust with our customers,” said Kelvin Hiraishi, director of engineering, MNAO. “This is who we are, and this principal is here to stay at Mazda.” The SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T offers many Mazda and industry-firsts. This includes its innovative Dynamic Pressure Turbo. The Dynamic Pressure Turbo uses a butterfly valve in the engine’s exhaust to create more pressure through a smaller chamber at low RPM. As a result, its turbocharger can spool up almost instantaneously. This provides up to 310 lb-ft of torque for ample flexibility and performance in any situation. It is also the first time Mazda has turbocharged a gasoline SKYACTIV™ engine. Real-World Performance In the CX-9, engineers focused on real-world performance. They didn't chase horsepower or torque figures. They knew those numbers would be unusable during normal driving. Engineers studied how SUV drivers would drive in the city. They opted for strong off-the-line acceleration in city traffic and linear, controllable operation. “There are lots of powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engines out there, but Mazda’s 2.5-liter turbo stands out by using very elegant engineering to create especially smooth and abundant low-end torque for great everyday V-6-like performance in a sizable crossover SUV,” said WardsAuto Senior Content Director Drew Winter. By replacing a heavy V-6 engine with the SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T in the new-generation CX-9, Mazda was able to eliminate more than 250 lbs. By doing this, they improved EPA-estimated fuel-efficiency by 25% compared with its predecessor. Part of the motivation to rethink how to create the SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T came from the desire to improve real-world figures as well. Mazda developed a cooled exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR) system. Thus, the engine runs at a higher compression ratio. It does this without needing to dump fuel into its cylinders for cooling. That's what commonly known as enrichment. “Most turbocharged gasoline engines use enrichment very early on, leading to fuel economy that rarely meets the EPA-estimated numbers,” said Hiraishi. “While the SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T’s cooled EGR doesn’t improve the catalog fuel economy numbers, it does pay dividends for customers to achieve greater real-world efficiency. That’s what matters”. Beach Mazda Give Beach Mazda a call if you want to learn more about the SKYACTIV™-G 2.5T engine. We can also give you information about any Mazda vehicle on the lot. That's why we're the Mazda experts! At the present time, we've got a great selection of vehicles. But, they are going fast!
