It also offers 146 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,800 rpm. Front wheel drives comes standard but Mazda’s predictive i-ACTIV all-wheel-drive is an available option on each trim level. To offer a sportier ride, Mazda has offered standard G-Vectoring Control vehicle dynamic enhancements. A re-tuned suspension offers an improved and sportier ride. We have made some changes here at Beach Mazda Service in recent months. There’s one BIG thing we want to let everyone know about first though. We now have a dedicated Mazda Service Drive just for our Mazda customers! more New Mazda Service Drive Do you remember how both Mazda vehicles and Volvo vehicles used to be check in on the Volvo side of our building? Well, now, we have the Mazda service drive up and running just for Mazda vehicles! That’s right. You no longer need to check in your Mazda vehicle over at the Volvo side! You also now have a dedicated Mazda Service Advisor. You’ll remember him from when you checked in over at Volvo. Nick Larson is now your dedicated Mazda Service Advisor. Nick used to be a Mazda and Volvo Service Advisor but now, he’s strictly a Mazda Service Advisor. Nick will help you with all things Mazda. No Changes to Volvo There have been no changes made to the Volvo Service drive. If you drive a Volvo, you’ll still check in directly at Volvo Service. Kelly Holden is now our dedicated Volvo Service Advisor. She will be able to help you with all things Volvo. Brock Hutchison is still the Service Manager for both the Mazda and the Volvo Service Departments. Our Reasoning One of the main reasons we decided to split the Mazda and Volvo Service Departments was to make it easier for all of our Mazda customers. We have had the Mazda Service Drive for a while, but never completely utilized the space. We know our customers want the best service experience possible. This is just one way to make that happen. We want you to have a great experience here in the dealership while you wait for your vehicle’s service to be completed. We also have a waiting lounge just for our wonderful Mazda customers. There is a television, reading material, brochures, tables and chairs available while you wait. Don’t forget, we also have free wi-fi if you need to get some work done while you wait. Most notably, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 has adopted a new electronic parking brake that frees up a ton of cabin space. This allowed developers to to increase the storage space. Other improvements include the smoother and more efficient SKYACTIV™-G 2.0 gasoline engine. There are also available full-leather seating surfaces and redesigned seats. The new seats place the body in a more comfortable position for driving. Of course, the CX-3 still offers fantastically unique driving dynamic everyone loves. Mazda North American Operations CEO Masahiro also talked about Mazda’s commitment to the United States with Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc. We discussed this joint venture in a blog post just last month. The Mazda KAI concept and the SKYACTIV™-X engine were also on display during the New York International Auto Show. Did you hear the great news? Mazda and Toyota have created their new joint-venture company “Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc.”  (MTMUS) It will manufacture vehicles in Huntsville, Alabama beginning in 2021. How awesome is that! more MTMUS This new automobile manufacturing plant will have the ability to make 150,000 units of Mazda’s crossover model. That model is soon to be introduced to North America. The plant will also be able to produce 150,000 units of Toyota’s Corolla. 4,000 new jobs are expected to be created in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Both companies are also investing $1.6 billion towards the project. “We hope to make MTMUS a plant that will hold a special place in the heart of the local community for many, many years,” said Mazda’s Executive Officer Masashi Aihara, who will serve as President of MTMUS. “By combining the best of our technologies and corporate cultures, Mazda and Toyota will not only produce high-quality cars but also create a plant employees will be proud to work at and contribute to the further development of the local economy and the automotive industry. We hope that cars made at the new plant will enrich the lives of their owners and become much more than just a means of transportation.” Ground Breaking Construction of the new plant will begin next year. In that report, the EPA named Mazda Motor Corporation as having the highest overall Manufacturer Fuel Economy for the 2016 model year. This is the fifth time in a row Mazda received the first place ranking. Environmental Protection Agency For this report, the Environmental Protection Agency compiled fuel economy trends by each model year sold in the United States. It ranks automakers by the Manufacturer Adjusted Fuel Economy. For Mazda, their overall fuel economy was 29.6 miles per gallon. This was an improvement of 0.4 miles per gallon over the previous year.
