Participating dealerships from Washington, D.C. to Massachusetts will award refurbished Mazda vehicles to families in need of personal transportation. “Giving back is at the core of what we do at Mazda, and we look forward to partnering with VFC on a program that will have such a tremendous impact on families in our own communities across the northeast,” said Brian Nash, Mazda’s Northeast Region General Manager. Helping People It’s certain that the work that’s been done by vehicles for Change has helped low-income family. Families are now able to see the doctor more regularly. They are able to get to better paying job so incomes have increased. It’s also been shown to improve a family’s quality of life. For one thing, can you imagine the stress relief? VFC reported the 93 percent of families had a reduced level of stress in part because of the benefits from owning a car. “This partnership with Mazda gives us the opportunity to expand VFC’s impactful car award program to cities across the northeast,” said VFC President Marty Schwartz. “Access to transportation severely limits an individual’s ability to be financially independent and provide for their families, and we know families are struggling in every city in the U.S., not just Baltimore.” Currently, this program is not available in our area. The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF made its debut at this year’s New York International Auto Show. It was met with rousing excitement. The show car is now set to become the MX-5 RF Launch Edition. This MX-5 will be limited to 1,000 vehicles in the U.S. and destined for Mazda’s most loyal customers. more Revolutionary & Breathtaking Simple and elegant in concept, MX-5 RF was introduced with a color combination that will be exclusive to MX-5 RF versus the MX-5 soft top: Machine Gray Metallic paint color, Auburn Nappa leather interior trim with a hand-painted black roof panel, based on the Grand Touring trim level. Initially, Mazda will open up the pre-orders to a select group of customers. These customers will be notified via email. They will have a specific window of time to preorder the MX-5 RF Launch Edition before ordering opens to the public. Customers who opt to purchase an MX-5 RF Launch Edition will have but one option available—SKYACTIV™-MT six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Each vehicle will be made to order. Outside of the exclusive color combination, MX-5 RF Launch Edition customers will also receive a special gift. Other Available Models For those who may miss out on purchasing an MX-5 RF Launch Edition, other retractable fastback models will be available. It's a series of new-generation vehicle motion control technologies. more The first technology in the series will be G-Vectoring Control. It will be introduced across Mazda’s entire model range. The first vehicle to feature it will be the Mazda Alexa. The Axela is known as Mazda3 here in the United States. The updated Mazda Axela is already on sale in Japan. There’s some great big news from Mazda North American Operations (MNAO)! It was recently announced that in an effort to better engage with customers, MNAO has launched a completely redesigned website! more Mazda wants to be able to better assist car buyers through the research and car buying process. Better yet, Mazda doesn’t stop there. They also want to make sure they can better meet the needs of Mazda owners and improve their experience of customer service. The Vice President of marketing for MNAO Russell Wager had this to say about the website update: “As customer shopping behavior changes, Mazda customers of today are changing as well. While our customers continue to trend toward being slightly older than before, those buyers are more affluent and more tech savvy, making it imperative for us to meet them where they are.“ Mazda has redesigned their website to be more user-friendly. It features enhanced shopping tools and a seamless navigation process. The site was redesigned because Mazda realized that their customer’s shopping behavior has changed over the years. Mazda is reaching milestones left and right! They recently announced that the total production volume of the Mazda3 reached 5 million units at the end of April 2016. more The Mazda3 is also known as Mazda Axela in Japan. Can you believe this is the second Mazda to reach 5 million units of production? It's followed only by the Mazda Familia. The Mazda3 has also set another new record for Mazda. The Mazda3 achieved this milestone amount in less than thirteen years since production began in June of 2003. It's twelve years and ten months to be exact! Mazda has developed the Mazda3 to be a core model for the company. It accounts for approximately one third of the Mazda’s annual sales volume. Since the first generation was produced in 2003, Mazda has without fail worked to surpass expectations with the Mazda3. It has refined its dynamic design and given it a more responsive and enjoyable driving performance. Currently, the Mazda3 is in its third generation and was completely redesigned in 2013. At that time, Mazda included its SKYACTIV™ TECHNOLOGY and KODO "Soul of Motion" design for the new-generation lineup. It's been significantly acclaimed around the world.  The model has won Canadian Car of the Year’s Best New Small Car in 2013. The Mazda3 won the 2014 International Red Dot Design Award. Back in January, we talked about a Mazda Miata that had a ½ million miles all driven its original owner. Now Mazda has another “million” milestone to announce. As of April 22nd, 2016, production of the Mazda MX-5 Miata reached one million units! This 27-years-in-the-making record all started at the Ujina Plant Number One in April of 1989. more In a recent press release, representative director, president and CEO of Mazda Corporation said “From the first generation through to today’s fourth-generation model, the reason we have been able to continue selling the MX-5 all these years is due to the strong support of fans around the world,” He continued “Mazda was founded in Hiroshima 96 years ago, and as we move toward our centennial year we will continue offering customers the joy of driving with this model, which has become a symbol of our brand. Mazda aims to create a special bond with customers and become a ‘one-and-only’ brand they will choose again and again.” Mazda wants to say thank you to the fans and owners. Mazda has something truly special planned just for them. The One-Millionth MX-5 Miata will be on display at special fan events in Japan. This special tour begins in May. It hits the United States in September. It will stop at different places around the country before making its final stop at the annual “ Miatas at Mazda Raceway” event.
