Holiday

Holiday Wishes from All of Us at Beach Mazda

Here's a little holiday cheer to brighten your days! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Beach Mazda and Beach Automotive Group! more A Christmas Tree! A Christmas Tree! Poem by David Keig A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree! With dark green needled memories Of childhood dreams and mysteries Wrapped present-like in front of me. A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree! I glimpse a past wherein i see The child that then grew into me Not forward fast but haltingly. A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree! A time for being with family A time that's gone so fleetingly Yet lives for always deep in me. A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree! When twelfth night comes whole hauntingly One lingered look and then i see No Christmas tree where it would be. A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree! With feelings now felt longingly No corner in my house to see The magic of that Christmas tree. During the holiday season, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our success possible. It is in this spirit that we say thank you and best wishes for the holidays and New Year. As we look back upon the past year, we would like to acknowledge those who have helped us shape our business. Thanks for a great year, and we wish you all the best as you embark on 2018. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM BEACH MAZDA!

Turkey Day is Here Once Again!

Turkey Day has arrived! Here are a few words of gratitude from Beach Mazda during this special Thanksgiving season… more It’s that time of year again!  May the good things of life be yours in abundance, not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year! 'TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING ~author unknown~ 'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep, tried counting backward, tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned --- The dark meat and white, But I fought the temptation with all of my might. Tossing and turning with anticipation...... The thought of a snack became infatuation..... So to the kitchen I did race, Flung open the door, And gazed at the fridge full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground !! I crashed through the ceiling. Floating into the sky.... With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie, But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees. The management and staff of Beach Automotive Group and Beach Mazda want to take a few moments to let all of our clients and friends know just how thankful we are for you! We could not be successful without your help. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence in us. Counting you among our customers is something for which we are especially grateful. Beach Automotive Group and Beach Mazda will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 so that we may celebrate this wonderful day with our own families and loved ones. We will be open bright and early on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 to help you usher in the the holiday shopping season! We wish you Happy Turkey Day and will see you on Friday!

New Technologies: Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030

In a recent press release, Mazda Motor Corporation announced electrification and connectivity strategies that strengthen the company’s human-centered design philosophy. The aim is to enhance the joy of driving. It is not only that though. Mazda also wants to provide drivers and passengers with peace of mind by way of a better connection with the car. They want to offer an “emotionally enriching joy of life” through owning a Mazda vehicle. Keep reading for all the details about the new technologies. more These new connectivity and electrification strategies are a part of Mazda’s long-term outlook for technology development. It is a part of Mazda’s “Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030”. That is Mazda’s mission to protect the beauty of the earth and enrich society. It is also their goal to cultivate individual lives and find solutions in the fields of people, society and earth. The new technologies will enhance the fundamental value of the automobile. Electrification Technologies It is Mazda’s goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and increase the joy of driving. They aim to do this by using compact and lightweight electrification technologies. It will also refine the internal combustion engine. Mazda wants to offer electric vehicles as the best solution in parts of the world that create a high ratio of electricity from clean energy sources. From the Mazda website: With a view to achieving a 90-percent reduction versus 2010 levels in its corporate average “well-to-wheel” carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, Mazda will deploy some form of electrification in all production vehicles by 2030. By 2030, Mazda expects that internal combustion engines combined with some form of electrification will account for 95 percent of the vehicles it produces and battery electric vehicles will account for 5 percent. In-house development of electric vehicles will leverage the advantages of electric drive systems and be guided by Mazda’s unique human-centered development philosophy that focuses on human traits and sensibilities. Mazda will develop two battery electric vehicles, one powered solely by battery and another that pairs a battery with a newly developed range extender powered by Mazda’s small, lightweight and exceptionally quiet rotary engine. The range extender will recharge the battery when necessary to effectively increase the vehicle’s driving range. The concept behind the rotary-powered range extender was to leverage the rotary engine’s small size and high power output to make multiple electrification technology solutions possible via a shared packaging layout. Taking advantage of the rotary engine’s compatibility with gaseous fuels, the rotary-powered range extender is designed to also burn liquefied petroleum gas and provide a source of electricity in emergencies. Connectivity Technologies Contribute to the resolution of social issues, such as the weakening of interpersonal connections. These have accompanied changes in society, by connecting people and society through connectivity technologies. Link connectivity with model-based development and reflect the results in future product development, improving quality and customer satisfaction. Leverage the alliance with Toyota Motor Corporation in the development of connectivity technologies. Want to learn more about these new technologies? Then by all means, call Beach Mazda today! G-Vectoring Control

G-Vectoring Control Makes Driving Better

When you are driving down the road, do you ever pay attention to all the little steering movements you make while you’re driving? Maybe it’s just a nudge here and there, but over the course of a road trip, all those movements add up. After a while, your arms become tired. At the end of the trip you’re exhausted simply from driving. Keep reading to learn how G-Vectoring Control deals with driver fatigue. more What is G-Vectoring Control? Have you heard of Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control? It’s technology that uses engine timing to control the dynamics of the chassis.  This technology is exclusive to Mazda vehicles. It’s beneficial because it provides a smoother and more defined steering inputs. G-vectoring Control makes your vehicle's steering response direct and linear. This is done by making tiny reductions in engine torque at turn-in. This put extra weight on the front tires. Smooth Process The Mazda vehicle’s rapid computer processors quickly calculate how much torque is needed to shift weight back and forth between the front and rear of the vehicle. This process is so smooth the driver has no idea it is even happening. The result of this process is less movement of the steering wheel to keep the vehicle stable. This harmonious steering response between driver and vehicle is essential to Mazda’s Jinba Ittai —“horse and rider as one”—driving philosophy. Want to learn more? Do you want to learn more about Mazda’s exclusive G-Vectoring Control technology? Want to learn more about Mazda’s other fantastic safety technologies too? SKYACTIV®-X: All you need to know!

Have you heard about Mazda’s “well-to-wheel” approach to reducing vehicle emissions? If you have, you may very well be familiar with Mazda’s SKYACTIV®-X engine. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, keep reading for all the great details. more More than Just Going Electric Mazda knows that reducing greenhouse gas emission is not as simple as switching cars from gas to electric. No. It’s more involved than that. Mazda takes into consideration fuel extraction, manufacturing and shipping as well ad driving. One part of this plan is Mazda’s innovative new combustion engine. It’s called SKYACTIV®-X. The SKYACTIV®-X engine certainly is a revolutionary engine. It is actually a world first! According to Mazda, is uses a special method of combustion, compression ignition, to be exact. Many in the automotive manufacturing industry have been trying to master this method for over twenty years. How Does it Work? Here’s how SKYAVTIV-X works: In a gasoline engine, the fuel-air mixture is ignited by a spark from the spark plug. In a diesel engine, the fuel-air mix is compressed and ignites through pressure and heat alone. Diesel is more energy dense than gasoline, which also means more air and less fuel goes in, making for better fuel economy. And although diesel engines tend to release less carbon dioxide than gasoline engines, they emit particulates that, unless trapped or treated, can cause pollution. Diesels, which are often turbocharged, have a reputation for having lots of torque even at low revs, while gasoline engines can rev higher and produce more horsepower at those high revs. SKYACTIV®-X offers the best of both diesel and gasoline engines with none of the disadvantages. It does this thanks to a new technology called Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI). Running on regular gasoline, SPCCI works by compressing the fuel-air mix at a much higher compression ratio, with a very lean mix. The SKYACTIV®-X engine uses a spark to ignite only a small, dense amount of the fuel-air mix in the cylinder. This raises the temperature and pressure so that the remaining fuel-air mix ignites under pressure (like a diesel), burning faster and more completely than in conventional engines. Want to learn more about SKYACTIV®-X? By all means, please call Beach Mazda today. We have the Mazda experts on hand to help you!
