All Mazda 6 models come with desirable standard driver-assistance features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, low-speed forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, 8.0-inch Mazda Connect touchscreen infotainment, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Unlike most mid-size alternatives, the 2020 Mazda 6 lineup does not go hybrid or plug-in. There is, however, a choice of two responsive 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines. The standard engine makes 187 horsepower; an optional turbocharged engine generates up to 250 horsepower. Both pair with a six-speed automatic transmission. Mazda has made it known that an all-wheel-drive version and a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel are both coming to U.S. buyers, and those are expected by the end of 2019. The Mazda 6 offers above-average driving satisfaction for a family sedan, with a fluidity to its controls and handling that is uncommon at any price. And Mazda manages to provide the thrills without sacrificing refinement or ride quality. In our testing, the top-of-the-line Signature model had less absolute grip and longer braking distances than the 2016 model. Chalk this up at least in part to the new tires it wore, which the company fitted to help reduce tire noise. None of this can diminish how well the Mazda 6 drives and rides, especially considering how quiet the cabin is. Make no mistake, it is still the most fun-to-drive sedan in this segment. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA has not released 2020 estimates for the Mazda 6, but for 2019, both four-cylinder engines had competitive EPA ratings. What is even more impressive is that the turbo model hit 36 mpg in our real-world highway fuel-economy test, surpassing its EPA highway estimate by 5 mpg.  We were incredibly pleased with the overall miles per gallon average on the new 2020 Mazda 6. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo If you were not given the context that the 6’s interior is from, well, the Mazda 6, you’d be forgiven for thinking it belonged in a much pricier car. The quality of the materials impresses, as does the upscale, mature design and restrained detailing. The cabin is first-rate and best in class. Surprisingly for a sedan with so sexy a shape, the Mazda 6 is no less practical than other mid-size offerings. The six carry-on bags we fit in the trunk and the 17 we fit with the rear seats folded put the Mazda at the head of the class. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The Mazda 6 earned a five-star crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named it a Top Safety Pick+. The sophisticated sedan also has standard driver-assistance features and is available with a full suite of active-safety features that Mazda calls i-Activsense. One major piece of information came in an available 2.5L turbocharged engine. Follow along below to learn more about what is to come in the 2021 Mazda3 with Beach Mazda. 2020 Mazda3 SKYACTIV 2.5L Turbocharged Engine Is Coming to the 2021 Mazda3 Through a release of the specifications, we have learned that the iconic SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L turbocharged gasoline engine will be coming to the 2021 Mazda3. The engine is the same one found in the 2020 Mazda6 and CX-5 models, which receive up to 227 horsepower and 310 ft-lbs. of torque. The same engine in the 2020 models receive a boost when using premium unleaded fuel. This led to specs of up to 250 horsepower and 320 ft-lbs of torque. It is unclear exactly if the same specifications will be exact for the U.S. market, but we will know more soon. 2020 Mazda3 Additional Performance Features with the 2021 Mazda3 On top of the engine reveal, several other points were revealed in the release. This includes an AWD option for the 2021 Mazda3 models, perfect for those who want added traction on those wet or slippery road conditions. Check and Replace Cabin Air Filter Sometimes folks forget that for the AC to run without any major problems, such as bacterial build-up and eventual breakdown from this, you have to replace the cabin air filter. They sell these air filters at just about any auto parts store and it's usually very easily replaceable. If you prefer to have someone else do it, there is always that to turn to. Estimates for how often you should replace your cabin air filter range from 15,000 miles to 30,000 miles. Once again, check that owner's manual! It has some great stuff in there. Get your tires rotated For tires to age evenly, they need to be rotated. Most experts recommend that you have your tires rotated and balanced every 6 months or 6,000-8,000 miles. Remember your owner's manual? It usually has your maintenance schedules built right into it, which is why we recommended reading your owner's manual first. No one like when their car won't start. Here are five top reasons your car will not start. more Your spark plugs need replacing. Spark plugs are part of your ignition system and play a major role in your vehicle’s ability to start and run properly. If your car’s engine cranks as if it’s trying to start, but won’t turn fire, this is a sign that your spark plugs are possibly in need of replacement. Your fuel injection system may need servicing. Fuel injectors are your engine’s fuel delivery system. If your car starts and immediately dies, the solution may be a fuel injection service or a fuel injector(s) replacement. You might have a dead battery. If you do not have the handiness of automatic headlights or you (or your passenger) distractedly left your interior dome light on overnight, your battery might have drained itself out of power. You will know your battery is dead if you put the key into the ignition, turn it and nothing happens. A clogged fuel filter. If your engine cranks but does not start, your fuel filter could be partially blocked. If your engine takes too long to start, your fuel filter may be partly blocked. Some vehicle’s fuel filters are now only serviceable with your fuel pump assembly, so do not be alarmed if you cannot find a scheduled maintenance service interval for your fuel filter. A bad ignition switch. The symptoms are easily confused with those of a dead battery (nothing happens when you turn the key), but you may still have power to operate your car radio, interior lights, or headlights. If this is the case, then your battery is likely still okay, and you should book an appointment for an ignition system diagnosis.
