Improvements & Changes for Mazda CX-3

Have you heard about all the improvements and changes happening in the Mazda CX-3 subcompact crossover SUV? It’s already been through the first round of these updates. Mazda aims to teat drivers to impressive value with features they might not even fin on more expensive vehicles. Keep reading for details!

Standard Improvements

Now standard for all trim levels of the CX-3 is Smart City Brake Support. This system automatically applies the brake in emergency situations below 19mph. Several other Mazda vehicles already have this important safety equipment as a standard feature. The CX-3 also offers Mazda’s exclusive G-Vectoring Control. This system uses the engine coupled with steering and throttle inputs to lessen engine torque. It applies more weight on the front wheels and makes the steering more direct. G-Vectoring Control allows the driver more confidence and control while driving.

Trim Levels

The entry level Mazda CX-3 Sport trim level has a bunch of standard features like cloth seats, power windows and power remote door locks. It also has power mirrors, two USB ports, Bluetooth hands free calling and audio pairing. We also can’t forget it comes standard with MAZDA CONNECT as well as a whole host of other great features.

The mid-level CX-3 Touring replaced the Sport’s standard 16-inch alloy wheels with 18-inch wheels. It also replaced the cloth seats with leatherette and Lux Suede upholstery. Did you know the CX-3 Touring also comes standard with Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert? It also has Mazda Advance Keyless Entry, heated front seats and heated side mirrors! Some of the new standard features on CX-3 Touring are automatic climate control, rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic on/off headlights. There’s more, still, that you should see for yourself!

Now, the CX-3 GT Premium Package includes Smart Brake Support for highway speeds and Lane Departure Warning. It also has High Beam Control and Mazda Radar Cruise Control. There are even more all-new features like the 6-way power driver’s seat, 2-position driver memory seat, power driver’s lumbar support AND a heated steering wheel!

Under the Hood

All those features we just listed are great for the inside of the vehicle. But, some of the best improvements can only be felt while driving. The CX-3 now has revised suspension and new front lower control arms. It has recalibrated dampers and new engine mounts too. All of this was designed to benefit the CX-3 class-leading chassis dynamics. In other words, Mazda improved and already awesome driving experience! It’s all of part of Mazda’s Jinba-Ittai driving philosophy.
