2017 CX-5 Named Digital Trends’ Best Crossover SUV

Beach Mazda LOVES to pass along great news like this! The editors at Digital Trends have named the 2017 CX-5 as the Best SUV/CUV of the Year. It beat out two other premium competitors! Keep reading for all the details!

Another Award for 2017 CX-5

That’s right! It’s another award for Mazda! Thee Digital Trends Car Awards aim to recognize the new vehicles introduced each year. The editors evaluated each vehicle based on overall design and technology.  According to the editors at Digital Trends:

“While the Bentley Bentayga and Jaguar F-Pace met expectations, the CX-5 exceeded them, offering more fun, style, and character than one would expect at its price point.”

How awesome is that? Digital Trends drew attention to CX-5’s blending of “engaging handling, sharp-looking exterior and satisfying utility capability.”

IIHS Top Safety Pick+

Did you know that the 2017 CX-5 was also named as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick+? It’s the highest honor that the nonprofit organization bestows. You can read about that here. All the other vehicles in Mazda’s lineup have also been named as Top Safety Pick+ winner. This is when the vehicles come equipped with specific headlights and automatic emergency braking. This technology is a standard feature on on the 2017 CX-5.
