Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A. Inc.

Ground was recently broken on the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A. Inc. plant in Huntsville, Alabama. Keep reading for all the exciting news

Major Investment

With a 1.6 billion investment from both companies, the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant is expected to create at least 4,000 new jobs. This plant will also have the ability to build 300,000 vehicles a year. This will begin in 2021. For starters, the new manufacturing plant will build Toyota’s Corolla. Its new 2020 model was recently made public in California. The new plant will also build Mazda’s yet- to-be-named crossover vehicle.

“We are proud to be here with Toyota, with whom we share the bond of pride in manufacturing,” said Kiyotaka Shobuda, Mazda’s senior managing executive officer. “We are proud to be breaking ground on a new ‘home’ here in Huntsville – a city that believes in the possibilities of technology and manufacturing, and has striven to realize mankind’s greatest dream.”

We are excited to continue our deep investment in the U.S. and Alabama and see nothing but a bright future.”
