The days will grow to be shorter and the air may possibly feel cooler. Summer is slowly coming to an end and we should start preparing for some changes to occur. We have established a shortlist of three tips to keep in mind now that fall is upon us.
-
Beware of the leaves
Once they have fallen from the trees, leaves can become perils on the highway. They can prevent you from spotting potholes to avoid. They can make braking more challenging since they can be slick on the road. If you can, try to dodge any hard braking on leaves, otherwise, you may risk losing control of your vehicle.
-
Keep an eye out for critters
Deer mating season occurs in the fall, which indicates they are more active near the roadways. If you can, try to avoid driving near dawn and dusk, since this is when they run around the most. Otherwise, always keep your eyes shifting from side to side on the street to help stop deer or any other animals on the road. Never veer off if you do see any critters because often, motorists over-correct and still end up in the ditch.
With shorter days entails you will need to prepare for the sun to be in your eyes when you are making your way home or it being dark by the hour you leave work. Since the sun sets earlier, remember to bring along sunglasses so the glare does not impinge on your vision. If you drive home during the dark, make sure you let your eyes to adjust to the darkness before you drive off.
