2019 Mazda6, 2019 CX-9 Earn IIHS “Top Safety Pick+” Award

Did you hear the terrific news? The 2019 Mazda6 and the 2019 Mazda CX-9 have both earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety “Top Safety Pick+” award when equipped with front crash prevention and specific headlights. Keep reading for details!

Requirements

In order to earn a 2019 Top Safety Pick+ Award, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. It also required a vehicle earn an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention. It must also be equipped with good headlights. The 2019 Mazda6 and the 2019 Mazda CX-9 both earned good rating for improved headlights.
