Have you heard about the Mazda Foundation? Keep reading to learn how Mazda gives back to the community.

Mazda Foundation

Responsibility

Mazda has a strong belief that a business has the responsibility to give something back to the community in which they do business. In order to do this, Mazda created the Mazda Foundation. The Mazda Foundation devotes themselves to “building a better tomorrow through support of meaningful programs that make a difference.” In addition to financial support, Mazda employees engage in a multitude of volunteer activities.

What They Do

Mazda funds non-profit organizations in the areas of education, literacy, social welfare, scientific research, cross-cultural understanding, and environmental conservation. Grants are awarded according to the nature and need of the program. Grants are not awarded to individuals. However, the Mazda Foundation awards grants to universities and scholarship funds, from which individuals directly benefit. Some of the programs that the Mazda Foundation assists are:

  • After-School All-Stars
  • Building Homes for Hereos
  • My Stuff Bags
  • Second Harvest Food Bank
  • Student Conservation Association

2019 Mazda CX-3Beach Mazda Gives Back Too!

Beach Mazda also has a commitment to give back to our community as well. We help out the Grand Strand in quite a few different ways. During the holidays, we participate in the Toys for Tots Program. For a few years now, we have been a drop off point for new, unwrapped toys. We also participate in the Ground Zero Dragon Boat races! According to Ground Zero’s website, this is their premiere annual fundraiser. In the past, we’ve worked alongside the American Heart association too!

It is a great honor for all of us at Beach Mazda to have the opportunity to give back to our community. We know the Grand Strand is a fabulous area in which to work and live. We’re looking forward to our next chance for more community involvement! Keep checking back for details.
