Diesel Mazda CX-5 – Coming Soon?

Last year, Mazda announced they were introducing a diesel model of the 2017 Mazda CX-5 for the second half of 2017. Well, we have arrived in the second half of the year and there’s no word yet on when they will arrive. This will be Mazda’s first diesel engine in the United states when it does arrive.

According to Car and Driver, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 diesel could produce a segment leading fuel economy and performance. It’s also possible that with the recent problems with Volkswagen’s diesel vehicles, Mazda could gain a whole new group of buyers. This is a pretty interesting point of view.

In the Works

We know Mazda has promised a new diesel engine for a while now. With their impressive technology, we’re sure a diesel CX-5 model will be impressive. But, we’re still waiting for a release date. All of here at Beach Mazda can’t wait to see them arrive!
